True Love of Coffee

You forgot me

Did you even know

I loved quietly

But without pause

You fought me

Did you ever stand down

I thought it was over

But never gave up

You forgave me

Did you feel the remorse

I cried from within

But never realized my fear

You lost me

Did you feel my presence gone

I was farther away than you were

But now I am not alone

You pierced my soul

Did you feel the blade dig deep

I thrust it further than you did

But it still didn’t heal what I seek

You never knew me

Did you ever stop and look

I tried a thousand times to help you

But you wandered from who I was

 

You couldn’t see the truth

Did you hear my spoken words

I gave you all my wisdom

But now realize I was a fool

 

You believed I was so wrong

Did you feel my love inside

I was never holding back with you

I am not the person you hated

But I forgave my heart and soul
