Quiet Voices Shouting Loud

That night,
do you remember
My eyes were lost
Everything seemed so blurry
I couldn’t see the truth
But feeling it was a different matter
I heard the tear drops as they fell from the sky
I swear I could feel them on my skin
It was simple yet confusing, serious yet playful
But all I could listen to was whispers
Voices from both of us that we couldn’t hear
They were quietly relentless
Telling us everything of how we felt
Speaking of feeling nothing and everything so raw
Relaxed yet anticipating, voices that often go unheard
Where were we going, did I listen to those voices
Is this path my choice or simply random fate
It was like wandering in darkness
But I liked it, the only light I saw was you
